Rotary Lobe Pumps

Rotary Lobe Pumps

What is a rotary lobe pump?

Rotary Lobe pumps are dry running positive displacement pumps. This means that no oil or grease is needed in the compression chamber. Only the gearbox and bearings, which are separated from the pump chamber, are oil-lubricated. Two non-contact triple-lobed rotary lobes rotate against each other in the compression chamber.

What kind of application uses rotary pumps?

Rotary lobe pumps can be used in many industrial applications that require coarse or fine vacuum.
